The Mission
NAV is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing nurture, aid, and long term vision for the future to disadvantaged youth in foreign countries. Our focus is on young individuals who face challenges such as health complications, poverty, lack of access to education, and limited resources. Through various programs and initiatives, NAV aims to create a positive impact on not only the present conditions of a child’s environments, but also the future opportunities that a child has.
Why
Students aged 16 to 24 from low-income families are seven times more likely to drop out of school than their higher-income peers.
31% of young adults without a high school diploma live in poverty, compared to 24% of high school graduates.
Children living in poverty are 1.3 times more likely to have developmental delays or learning disabilities than those above the poverty line.
Over 30 million children live in poverty. In one low-income community, there was just one book for every 300 children.
